Certain Wireless Consumer Elec. Devices and Components Thereof (U.S. I.T.C. Inv. No. 337-TA-853)
Represented Kyocera Communications in two-week trial of patent dispute about microprocessor clocking. Developed and presented experimental data that led to a trial finding of non-infringement.


Certain Lithography Mach. and Sys., and Components Thereof (U.S. I.T.C. Inv. Nos. 337-TA-1129, 37)
Represented Nikon in parallel ITC proceedings alleging infringement of six patents related to semiconductor lithography equipment. Settled on favorable terms.


Global Foundries v. Taiwan Sem. Mfg. Corp. (U.S. I.T.C. Inv. Nos. 337-TA-1176, 77)
Represented Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Corp. in parallel ITC actions alleging infringement of multiple patents related to semiconductor manufacturing. Settled on favorable terms.

Other Commercial Litigation

Entrata, Inc. v. Yardi Systems Inc. (D. Utah Case No 2:15-cv-00102)
Represented Entrata Inc. in antitrust suit that arose when Yardi falsely claimed that Entrata’s software had security vulnerabilities in order to justify anti-competitive actions. Settled on favorable terms shortly after Entrata prevailed on a sanctions motion and was awarded over $2 million in sanctions.


Meridian Bioscience, Inc. v. DiaSorin, Inc. (S.D. Ohio Case No. 1:17-cv-00341)
Represented Meridian in contract dispute involving immunotherapy collaboration agreement. Settled on favorable terms.


Eastman Kodak v. Kyocera Corp. (W.D. N.Y Case No. 6:10-cv-6334)
Represented Kyocera in a licensing dispute involving digital imaging patents. The case settled on favorable terms.

Pro-Bono Litigation

In re: Garcia-Tolentino (Sealed proceedings)
Represent a Mexican national accused of espionage. Obtained a grant of asylum for a multi-day bench trial. The government appealed and the case is being heard on a limited remand.


People v. Grover (S.D. Sup. Ct. Case No. SCN 361491)
Defended domestic violence victim accused of attacking her abuser. Successfully obtained a hung jury.


Anguiano v. Rivera, et. al. (S.D. Sup. Ct. Case No. 37-2010-00051293)
Defended domestic abuse victim in civil suit seeking compensation for her abuser’s attacks on third parties. Prevailed on summary judgment.


Bay Vista Housing Partners, L.P. v. Worshim (S.D. Sup. Ct. Case No. 37-2013-00059014)
Represented a Section 8 tenant facing eviction. Successfully reversed the eviction in a bench trial.
